The Economist: Social Innovation - Let's hear those ideas
Submitted by totocol on Sat, 09/04/2010 - 13:22I was reading the latest article from the economist on Social Innovation. I feel it is very encouraging to see how there are more and more people talking about Social Innovation in new ways. This article is concentrated in two main concepts:
- The reasons why it makes sense for governments to become interested in Social Innovation
- Why it is ok to make money and do good at the same time

Social Innovation in Australia - What could we do if we work together?
Submitted by totocol on Tue, 08/03/2010 - 20:58I have been following with interest a conversation that has been bringing together all the Social Innovators in Australia (Thanks to @edwardharran) around COSI10 and also with the Social Innovation Barcamp coming very soon. I feel that this has a lot of potential to collaborate in more things.
I thought I would open this thread to start having this conversation in an open space.
So, where from here? Any thoughts?

The importance of conversations across sectors for Social Innovation
Submitted by totocol on Tue, 11/03/2009 - 16:42There was an article in the Sydney Morning Herald last Friday about the Sydney Leadership program delivered by the Benevolent Society and that I just completed. Being in Sydney Leadership reminded me of when I changed sectors. Having initiated my career in the corporate sector, when I moved to the not for profit sector a few years back, I faced a much bigger adjustment than I first expected and it opened my eyes to the big gap there is between the sectors.
