Other interests: social media and its influence on mainstream media, collaborative and participatory processes and technologies, creating ‘spaces’ for Southern voices and vulnerable groups in social and mainstream media.

Favourite projects: working with Shiwa Yaku, an indigenous Kichwan community in Amazonian Ecuador, to produce a collaborative short documentary on their struggle for recognition of their ancestral lands. More recently, I’ve managed the Australian Development Gateway website (http://www.developmentgateway.com.au), an online portal for aidworkers and international development practitioners in the Asia Pacific region.
